A close shave
Shwe Nyaung Monastery is a short bike ride from Nyaungshwe. Head shaving is an important part of being a Buddhist monk or novice, this practice involves an accomplice as it is difficult to shave your own head. The Abbot is entrusting a young novice to shave his head.
